Who We Are
2022 Uconn Morgan Drill Team
The UConn Morgan Drill Team has been promoting the Morgan breed since Coach Pelletier organized it in 1987. They perform with patterns, costume, and music to fit any occasion. Also making this team very unique is all the Morgans are taught to go English, Western, and occasionally do a jumping pattern.
They are a very proud team of varying academic backgrounds that unite to show the Morgans' versatility, intelligence, presence, and constant friendship with their riders.
These Morgans are hard working horses that are regularly used in our lesson, teaching, and breeding programs at the University of Connecticut. Note the horses carrying the U.C. prefix, denoting that they have been bred, raised and trained at the university. They represent long established bloodlines, and have continued to be developed by the university's animal science equine program, with the help of donations of both Morgan mares and stallion services.
